Atom Moving handles a high volume of long distance moves every day. The key to successful interstate moves is carefully planning for the move ahead of time. The long distance department splits the deliveries to two main destinations: East Coast and West Coast. East Coast deliveries can be done within one to seven days, depending on the arrangements you have made with our relocation consultants upon reservation. The West Coast deliveries take a week to ten days from the time our staff picks up your belongings from your home; therefore it is very important you make the proper arrangements while your goods are being transported.

We offer free online moving estimates as well as phone estimates. If we feel that your move is beyond an average move we will offer you a free in-home estimate, where we can visualize all your moving needs and provide you with a binding moving cost.
After you receive a moving estimate from us and you feel that we meet your moving needs and budget, you are required to pay a deposit of one hour of labor for a local move or 10% of the total cost for an out of state move, by credit card. The deposit is not refundable and will be deducted from your total moving cost.
We offer overnight storage on our trucks for customers that need to move out of their home in one day and move into their new home the following day. Additional charges will apply, please contact us for more price information.

We offer piano moves; the most common pianos are spinet, upright and baby grand. Each piano will be handled differently to secure and protect it during the move.
You can purchase carpet padding from a home improvement store or the floors can be covered by the movers with moving pads during the move.
Atom Moving can provide a parking permit for your move at the rate of $70 per parking spot, or we can provide you with a letter for city hall that permits you to use our bond number for your upcoming move at no additional cost. You will go to the city hall and purchase the parking permits. You are require by to purchase the parking permits 72 hours prior to your move and to post the parking permits 48 hours prior your move.

Your items will be labeled with labels that carry the item number and your lot number, and each item will be listed on a detailed inventory. The list includes the description of the item, its sticker number, and the condition of the item at the time of the pick up. The descriptive inventory will be signed by you and the moving foreman, and you will receive a copy of the list at the end of your pick up to ensure the safe arrival of your belongings. The bill of lading is the contract between you and your mover. The mover is required by law to prepare a bill of lading for every shipment it transports. The foreman of the moving crew must give you a copy of the bill of lading before loading your furniture. The bill of lading requires the mover to provide the service you have requested, and you must pay the movers the charges of the services.
Atom Moving offer free in home binding moving cost for most moving jobs. If we feel that your move may require more than a phone estimate, we will send a relocation consultant to your home to assess your moving needs and to provide you with a binding moving cost.
A binding moving cost is a moving estimate that will not exceed the set price according to the inventory list, customer information, address information and services required. Binding moving cost can be provided only with an in-home estimate, where we can assess all your moving needs.
A non-binding estimate is not a bid or a contract. It is provided by our relocation consultant over the phone or through an online estimate to give you a general idea of the cost of your move, and it does not bind us to a total cost. The final cost of your move will be determined at the end of the move.

Gratuity is customary, it is never mandatory. If you feel that our movers did an exceptional job we do not discourage gratuities. For your convenience and information 10-15% of the total cost is the average gratuity. Atom Moving will not move or store any plants, laundry detergent, liquor, poison, gas tanks, paint, stain or any other flammable items or liquids in bottles or bags. We will not move weapons of any kind. We will not assume any responsibility for unknown boxes packed by the customer that contain such items.

Upon completion of the loading at the origin address, it is the customer's responsibility to make sure that nothing has been left behind, and if so to make sure to inform the foreman of your crew. Upon completion of the unloading at the destination address, it is the customer's responsibility to inspect the truck/s and make sure that nothing has been left behind, and that all your goods are placed in the rooms to your satisfaction.
As a licensed common carrier in the commonwealth of Massachusetts we are required to provide you with limited liability coverage at no charge. Under this option the maximum liability of the carrier is limited to $0.60 per pound per article, in the event of damage or loss. Please ask the foreman of your crew any questions concerning the valuation or you can simply call us and speak with the relocation consultant that reserved your move.
The final cost of your storage fee will be determined on the day of your move according to the volume of your move and the storage unit you may need. A rental fee for moving pads will be added to your final cost based upon $3.00 per pad per month, multiplied by the number of pads used for your move. If you wish to avoid these rental charges, you will have to sign a waiver stating that you will take full responsibility for all damages that may occur to your goods during the moving and storage process.

A deposit is required upon reservation and will not be refunded under any circumstances. If moved is cancelled within less then 48 hours prior to the move, the customer will be charge minimum of 4 hours for cancellation.
Atom Moving moves all types of appliances, from washers and dryers to refrigerators. All appliances must be disconnected before the move from electricity, plumbing and gas. Atom Moving will not move any item that has not been disconnected prior to the move.
If your move requires multiply pickups or deliveries, please inform our relocation consultant at the time of your reservation. Local moves will be charged by the hour, and for out of state moves you will receive a fixed price for such services, depending on the distance between locations.
Computers and printers need to be packed properly in boxes before moving them. We advise you to drain the ink from your printer and back up your computer before the move.
Travel time is charged only in a local move and will be part of the labor charges. The time begins and ends at our office location, unless other arrangements made upon reservation of the move.
It is mandatory to pack all the goods in your dressers drawers for two main reasons:
